I made a collection of Valentine inspired pieces. I wanted to explore the ideas of trying to hold on to something that is intangible - such as love. I used everyday office supplies to get the job done. Polarizing items that have opposite jobs from each other such as a Stapler and stapler remover. Tape and Scissors, Push Pins and the the holes they leave behind. Love is ever fleeting and no matter how much we try to hold on to it, it always seems to find away to escape us from time to time. I think that I wanted to illustrate a very complex idea as simple as possible, and everyone can relate to office supplies.
