Recently finished up an ad for the non-profit organization Bienestar. "BIENESTAR advocates for human rights and social justice on a local, statewide and national level and serves the community at large by shedding light on emerging Latino issues and engaging with political and social service leaders. It empowers clients to participate through community mobilization and to become “agents of change”, thereby building awareness of critical issues, policies and legislation that require political action and funding." New CD cover design for We Are / She is
Just finished a new layout for the band We Are/ She Is. Wanted to play with bold vibrant colors against the stark pitch-black background. Reminds me of when I used to play with crayons as a kid. Happy Valentine's Day!
I made a collection of Valentine inspired pieces. I wanted to explore the ideas of trying to hold on to something that is intangible - such as love. I used everyday office supplies to get the job done. Polarizing items that have opposite jobs from each other such as a Stapler and stapler remover. Tape and Scissors, Push Pins and the the holes they leave behind. Love is ever fleeting and no matter how much we try to hold on to it, it always seems to find away to escape us from time to time. I think that I wanted to illustrate a very complex idea as simple as possible, and everyone can relate to office supplies.
